Celestial Green Ventures PLC (CGV) is an Ecosystems Conservation Company specialising in the development of natural capital conservation projects, under a comprehensive REDD+ (Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) methodology, in the Amazônia region of Brazil.
CGV is a global leader in the development of REDD+ Natural Capital Credits (NCC). Our goal is to protect vulnerable areas of the natural forests at risk of deforestation. These regions are susceptible to the devastation caused by illegal mining, slash & burn agriculture and illegal logging activities.
Our initial 30-year agreements with our project partners, who include Brazilian Municipalities and Indigenous Tribal Communities, show the commitment which CGV are making to these regions.
Our objective is to not only protect the vulnerable rainforest, at risk of deforestation, but also to develop conservation projects, in consultation with our project partners, which provide additional integrated benefits to the region, including:
– Conservation of the endangered natural forest and the local communities' habitats
– Biodiversity protection of the inherent, vulnerable ecosystems; and
– Socio-economic investment in the local communities
